I had a frayed power cord to an old lamp laying around and I didn’t want to just trash it.

The coil section immediately reminded me of a guitar audio cable so I picked up some TRS connectors from ACK and soldered the cables to them. A little yellow heat shrink to seal and clean everything up and voilà! Nothing special but its proof that I can solder and color coordinate. I was expecting problems with the cable being side-by-side instead of coaxial like most audio cables. But after testing the cable on a guitar + amp, I heard no distortions.
